CANCELLATION NOTICE OF A SCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE FRIDAY HARBOR TOWN COUNCIL CONCERNING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION #63DESCRIPTION OF CANCELLATION: The public hearing for Conditional Use Permit Application #63 submitted by San Juan Island School District #149 has been cancelled for June 19, 2008. The rescheduled public hearing will be announced. LOCATION OF CANCELLED PROPOSAL: The subject properties are tax parcels #351161001 and #351192304. NOTICE OF DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION & NOTICE OF COMPLETENESSand NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCEThe Town of Friday Harbor has deemed the following Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application and State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist complete. In addition to developing community sports fields with associated parking, restrooms, and concessions allowed in a previous CUP, San Juan Island School District #149 has applied for a second Conditional Use Permit proposing a 36’ x 60’ maintenance building, a 24’ x 36’ pump house, a pedestrian walkway from the unopened right of way on Larsen Street, grandstands, electronic score boards, and a public addressing system on March 3, 2008. The property is known as tax parcels #351161001 & #351192304 and is approximately 30 acres in size. The subject parcel is single family zoned between the Village Grove and Foxhall developments on Roche Harbor Road and Kelsando Circle, Friday Harbor, WA. This proposal meets conditional use allowances for single family residential zones per Friday Harbor Municipal Code Chapter 17.20. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: From April 16, 2008 to May 15, 2008.
