IF THIS HOUSE COULD TALK: Lower Argyle Historic Home TourA home tour of lower Argyle Avenue historic sites is the kick-off for the May 2011 Historic Preservation Month celebration. On May 1st, 1-4 PM, the public is invited to visit seven historic residential buildings on lower Argyle Avenue. Participating property owners and business tenant include: Acanthus Antiques, Etta’s House Vacation Rentals, the Land Bank, the offices of the Preservation Trust, Gentry Aesthetics (both housed in Argyle Historic Homes Suites), Argyle B&B, and the personal residence of Christopher and Cynthia Burke. Volunteers will be on hand to discuss the history, architectural features and stories unique to each house on the tour. This event is free to the public.
