Tax Reports

Sales Tax: The current total local sales tax rate with the Town of Friday Harbor is 8.5%. This is the total of state (6.5%), county (0%), and town (2%) sales tax rates combined. All sales tax for goods purchased or delivered within Town limits should be reported under tax code 2801.

Real Estate Excise Tax (REET): REET tax is collected on the sale of real property based on the full selling price and is distributed to the State of Washington and the Town of Friday Harbor. The Town levies (2) 0.25% real estate taxes that limits the use of funds for capital projects and limited maintenance.
